You don’t know what you can do / Until you get it up as high as you can go

There is this funny thing I do sometimes: I pretend I’m in a movie and watch myself from the outside like I was the director.

Every time I do this I know exactly what song will be the soundtrack of the scene.

Actually, almost every time it’s the other way around: I’m listening to a song and then, wham, I’m not just myself anymore, but I’m the character of a movie.

Today it’s happened while I was running, I was listening to this song from the movie Top Gun and suddenly it wasn’t me anymore.

It was this woman very fit and confident, running at sunrise in some park in some big american city, thinking about her job and all the appointments she had during the day.

It lasted approx 30 seconds, as usual, but that made me think: either I’m crazy or I’m just getting so confortable in running my (so far) 4km that I’m able to think to something else beside the pain and the lack of breath.
