T’aint what you do (it’s the way that you do it)

This weekend in town there’s this swing festival, Swing’n’Milan, and I badly wanted to go, so I told a bunch of my friends but, for several reasons, at the end no one was available.
So I said to myself “whatever, just dress up and go”.
So I put on a vintage dress, flowers in my hair, red lipstick and went.
And I had a blast.
Mostly because I kept the careless and cheerful attitude through the night.
I wanted to attend the free “first steps” course but I didn’t have a leader and neither a girl near me, so I just grabbed two guys that were watching and said “come on, don’t stare, come and dance with us”. And it was fun.
And then I danced with anyone asking, even though I just know the basic step and I’ve been only to two lessons, it didn’t matter, I warned the guys inviting then I just let my feet go with the music.
Sometimes it ain’t what you do, it’s how you do it. Or, just do it.
